Update Transactions

You can update data in both one-time and recurring transactions.


To update a one-time transaction

  1. In the Reports menu, select Transactions Report.
  2. Search for the transaction you wish to update using the Custom Search fields.
  3. Click the Transaction ID number to open the transaction detail page.

From the donation detail page, you may:

  • Reassign the transaction from one campaign to another
  • Update contact information
  • Edit a gift dedication
  • Edit a comment
  • Add a Note for internal use

At this time, custom field responses are not updatable. Please contact support if you need to update a custom field response in a transaction.


To update a recurring payment

  1. In the Reports menu, select Recurring Payments.
  2. Search for the payment you wish to update using the Custom Search fields.
  3. Click the Transaction ID number to open the recurring payment detail page.

From the recurring payment detail page, you may:

  • Change the amount
  • Change the frequency
  • Update the payment method
  • Update contact information
  • Change the designated program or fund
  • Edit a gift dedication
  • Edit a comment
  • Add a Note for internal use

Changes to a recurring payment record will only affect future transactions, not the historical data found in Transactions Report.
